About Prime Construction
Prime Construction is a local, family-owned building company with more than 20 years of hands-on experience across residential, commercial and small-scale civil projects. We proudly service the wider Wellington region, including Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Wellington City, the Kapiti Coast, Porirua, and the Wairarapa.
Our story began as building apprentices, learning the trade from the ground up, working for the same building company here in Wellington. After a decade working there and with an ample amount of experience under our belts, we were encouraged to go out on our own and Prime Construction was born.
Today, our services span across everything residential from new builds and large-scale renovations and from hard landscaping to retaining. We also tackle commercial fit outs from retail stores to cafes. For us, punctuality, professionalism, and clear communication are non-negotiables—we work hard to meet deadlines, keep projects within budget, and provide a smooth experience for every client.
